With a constant T1.8 aperture, this lens allows for beautifully shallow depth of field, stylized oval bokeh, and rich cinematic visuals, even in lower light. The 1.33× squeeze gives a widescreen, 2.35:1 aspect ratio when de-squeezed from 16:9, preserving the classic widescreen anamorphic feel.Thanks to its STM autofocus motor, you get fast, smooth, and quiet focusing, with the flexibility to switch to manual focus via an AF/MF switch. There’s also an AF lock (FN) button, iris lock, and the ability to use either stepped (click) or de-clicked aperture, making it usable both for run-and-gun shooters and film-style workflows.Built with a rugged aluminum-alloy body and featuring dust, dirt, and raindrop resistance, the Astra 100mm is robust enough for serious production environments. As with other Astra lenses, you can choose between Blue or Neutral flare versions to match your creative vision.
